The only new weapon players will have a chance to use in Burning Shores, the latest DLC for Horizon: Forbidden West, will be a Zenith weapon called Specter Gauntlet. Here is how to obtain it.
Burning Shores, the one and only PlayStation 5 exclusive DLC for Guerrilla Games ' action adventure Horizon: Forbidden West , adds a complete new region, several new enemies, and only one new weapon to the game.
The technology behind that new weapon was left behind by one of Aloy's biggest foes, Zenith, just before they left Earth. However, she was able to adapt it to her purposes and make the most of its cutting-edge technology.
The Specter Gauntlet is an extremely strong and potent weapon that can take on even the most difficult of machines, such as the one Aloy will encounter at the conclusion of Burning Shores. Here's how to acquire it and improve it effectively to make Aloy even more resilient than she already is.
How to obtain Specter Gauntlet
Without further ado, let's state upfront that the Specter Gauntlet is an automatic reward for completing the main quest "To the Burning Shores."
After climbing the tower with Seyka, you will have to deal with one very formidable foe in the form of a tower. After destroying this tower, Aloy will scavenge its parts to make her a weapon using Zenith technology.
Although the weapon is unmissable and part of the main objective, upgrading it is entirely optional, and some players will miss out on this upgrade if they do not attempt to complete all side quests in the game.

To obtain this upgrade, simply start a side quest called "In His Wake," but be aware that you must finish an optional objective during the quest and loot Pirik's weapon once you kill it. The base weapon function will be firing the shard barrage, and after you upgrade it, you will also have the ability to use a different gauntlet's mode called railgun, where your Specter Gauntlet basically becomes some sort of minigun—a very useful weapon against tougher machines.
