Magik's challenge in Midnight Suns might be a little tricky but a few fancy knockback will resolve it in no time.
Marvel's Midnight Suns has different puzzles for Hunter and each hero you get to five friendship.
Some of those challenges are trickier than others and Magik's challenge qualifies in the harder group, being a somewhat advanced version of Hunter's challenge .
Firaxis hand-crafted these to be beatable at every level so fear not, the low damage is meant to be there and if you follow the steps in this guide, you will be done in a minute.
Demon Child challenge solution
Magik's Challenge requires you to bounce and damage one enemy until it's dead so it can drop the Darkchylde card which you will use to finish it.
The first step is to use Limbo's Grasp in order to maximise your damage.

Use Trap Door to move the enemy next to the green Ley Line.

Quick Soulslash should be used to knock the enemy into the Ley Line to trigger it.

Limbo Portal is your next step - set it up to toss the creature at a wall.

Use Kick to send the target through the portal.
Firaxis
Next, knock it into the same wall with Soul Blast.
Firaxis
Use the second copy of Trap Door to move the enemy to the red Ley Line.

Finally, activate the red Ley Line with one Heroism point to kill the enemy and obtain the Darkchylde card.

Use Darkchylde and the trial is over! You now have a new outfit for Magik and a pretty good off-tank ability.
