What is Valve's new title Deadlock?
Valve's next title, Deadlock, is reportedly a third-person shooter combined with hero and ability-based elements. After a massive string of leaks, the game was finally announced by Valve. The game is currently available on Steam through a selective invite system.
Deadlock was previously known as Neon Prime, Citadel. The competitive third-person hero-based shooter will feature 6v6 game modes. The game modes will be playable on huge maps with 4 lanes. Players will be allowed to use abilities and items during their matches.
Basically, the game borrows mechanics from games such as Overwatch, Valorant, Smite, and Dota 2. Aside from that, the game's fast-travel mechanics reportedly take heavy inspiration from the ones seen in Bioshock Infinite.
The game will mainly feature tower defence mechanisms with a combination of steampunk and fantasy elements. Players can expect to be graced with magicians, weird creatures, and robots based on the steampunk and fantasy elements.
