Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has introduced the realm of Olympians as a part of the new map and storyline. The Olympian Gods have brought in special Olympian powers or mythics that can be used for combat and traversal.
After the Season 2 update, players were greeted with the new Thunderbolt of Zeus and Wings of Icarus mythics as ground loot and boss drops. To further enrich the Olympian arsenal, Epic Games has added a new Chains of Hades mythic for players to use for combat and traversal, and here's how you can find them on the map.
How to Find the Chains of Hades in Fortnite
The Chains of Hades is Fortnite's new variant of Olympian Power, and players can get it in a couple of ways. Unlike other Mythic weapons, which can only be obtained from the Greek Bosses scattered throughout Season 2's island, players may be able to obtain this new Mythic in the following ways:
- Randomly as Ground Loot
- Randomly from Standard, Rare, and Olympian Chests.
- The only guaranteed method of obtaining the Chains of Hades is by eliminating Hades at the Underworld POI of the current map.
Similar to the Wings of Icarus, players can usually obtain the new Chains of Hades Mythic from different chests and ground loot. The drop rate of the new mythic is higher compared to the Thunderbolt of Zeus and the Wings of Icarus.
However, if you want to get your hands on this new mythic as soon as you land on the map, we recommend challenging Hades to a duel and obtaining it by eliminating him.
The Chains of Hades is a lethal melee weapon infused with the power of the Underworld. A long-range grapple from the Chains of Hades allows its user to drag enemies into the path of its devastating attack combo.
It deals 40 damage with the first and second hits and 70 damage with the third consecutive hit. On the other hand, the signature pull attack can deal 20–30 damage, depending on the projectile range.
The Chains of Hades is an infinite item that does not run out or will require a timer after single use. We recommend picking up the Chains of Hades as a mobility item; it is the best replacement for the previous season's Grapple Blade.
