Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix takes players back to a revamped version of Chapter 2, with the previous map making a return alongside all famous POIs and weapon pools.
Previously in Chapter 5 Season 4, players were introduced to the Marvel Absolute Doom storyline alongside a new map. Epic Games also introduced weapon attachment customisation through mod benches for the first time. Now, moving to Chapter 5 2 Remix, weapon mods are replaced by the previously known upgrade benches.

How to Find Upgrade Benches in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix
In Fortnite Chapter 5 seasons, you could access mod benches by eliminating bosses and opening vaults with their medallion. Aside from that, mod benches were randomly available in loot islands and at High Society vaults.
However, starting with Chapter 2 Remix, Upgrade Benches are widely available throughout the map. You can easily find them by heading towards a new POI and landmarks. The upgrade benches are available throughout the map from the first circle. All upgrade benches are accessible as soon as you land on the map.
Upgrade Benches are situated near all POIs on the map. There are a total of thirty-five upgrade benches on the current map. These upgrade benches will remain a hotspot with players looking to juice up their weapon loadouts. Here's a look at the Upgrade Benches locations on the current map:
All weapons except mythics are modifiable at Mod Benches. To modify a weapon, you must spend Gold Bars, and the attachments you purchase will not carry over if you upgrade your weapon variant. Aside from these Upgrade Benches, you can easily access them by capturing or visiting the Boss POIs once it appears during the match.
