Destiny 2 isn't really upfront about the ways to get certain resources while hunting for the new gear each season so here is a quick rundown for everything in S17.
Destiny 2 probably has many of us hyped to once again get the weapons we once farmed in the Menagerie but if we want to get them from the HELM, it requires a few resources whose origins might still be a bit obfuscated. Here is a quick rundown of the new resources and where you can get them.
Opulent Umbral Energy
This resource is used when directly purchasing reprised weapons at the HELM. You can obtain it from:
- Sever reward chest
- Season pass
- One at Rank 2
- Four at Rank 52
- Six at Rank 70
- 10 at Rank 92
- Nightmare Containment can dish these out as a bonus reward
- Haunted Alcove and Opulent chests get a chance after HELM upgrade
Opulent Keys
The Leviathan Returns quest is the only confirmed source of these thus far. There are also unconfirmed reports of the keys dropping from Haunted Alcove chests and as Nightmare Containment bonus rewards.
Figments of Darkness
Bound in Sorrow Quest for the first week is confirmed to drop one Figment. You can obtain more from ranking up by completing seasonal bounties at the HELM, with ranks four, 10 and 16 awarding one each.
These can be used to get your seasonal upgrades.
Bungie
Vestiges of Dead
You can earn these from virtually everywhere. Leviathan Castellum and Containment will often provide Vestiges and the playlist activities will do so as well. HELM can be upgraded to provide more Vestiges on each drop.
Bound Presence
Bound Presence only has one confirmed source thus far - bonus rewards from Nightmare Containment.
