Treasure maps represent one of the collectables in Avowed, the latest action RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, and once you find one of those maps, you'll be prompted to uncover the treasure it hides in a true treasure hunting manner.
Solving a treasure map will usually give you a piece of high-quality gear or some very good loot, and sometimes even both.
One of the earliest treasure maps you'll be able to locate in Avowed is the map called Captain Henqua's Spoils, and if you don't know where to find it and how to solve it, we have a guide for you.
Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map location and solution
To find this treasure map, you'll simply have to go to the lighthouse in Downshore. The lighthouse is located in the most southwestern part of the map. If you cannot find it, consult our map below.
Once you locate the lighthouse, climb on it by parkouring all the way up. While climbing, you'll come across a skeleton lying on a wooden scaffolding. If you loot this skeleton, among the loot, you'll find the Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map.
If you examine it, you'll see that it showcases a huge stone arch resembling some sort of bridge and a treasure located just below its left pillar. This stone arch is a part of the Old Pagrun Wall, located just to the west of Paradis. Again, check out our map for the exact location.
Once you locate the arch, go into the water beneath it and dive, just at the point where the treasure map shows. You'll notice an underwater cave at a given location, so dive through it and emerge on the other side.
Here, you'll locate a chest, but the real treasure you'll need to pick up to solve this treasure hunt is Wind and Wave, an exceptional-quality shield that will definitely come in handy, especially during the early stages of the game.
