Avowed will launch on February 18 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with reviews expected to be available on February 13.

With Obsidian's title Avowed on the horizon, new details about its performance modes have surfaced. Game director Carrie Patel recently confirmed that the RPG will hit up to 60 FPS on Xbox Series X/S. 

Furthermore, in a new interview, she provided further insight into the game’s graphics modes.

Three display modes for players to choose from

In talking to Last Stand Media, Patel revealed that Avowed will have three graphics settings that will enable players to decide if they want to prioritize frame rate, visual fidelity, or a combination of the two:

Performance Mode - Prioritizes higher frame rates for smoother gameplay.

Quality Mode - Favours improved graphics

Balanced Mode - A middle-ground setting that attempts to provide a mix of visual quality and performance, perfect for individuals who possess 120Hz displays.

What to expect at launch

Since the game launches on February 18 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, fans are curious to learn how Avowed runs on different platforms. 

Reviews will become live on February 13, and they will provide more specific details on optimization, resolution scaling, and overall performance.
