AI Limit: Cleansing Knight boss fight

Cleansing Knight boss in AI Limit can be a real nightmare and seem impossible to beat, but if you know how to properly approach the fight, it can be a walk in the park. Here is how to beat it easily.

Bosses in AI Limit, the newest Souls-like action RPG from Sense Games, can be a real nightmare, especially if you haven't perfected some in-game mechanics like dodging and parrying exact timings. So if you keep being hit, try to learn those as soon as possible.

The boss that will truly test your skills and patience (the gamepads can start flying with this one) is the boss called Cleansing Knight, a horse-like mechanical creature that hits like a truck and can deplete your entire health bar in just a couple of swings from its huge sword.

If this boss is giving you a headache, we must inform you that it actually isn't that bad; the only problem is your approach to the fight. So if you're having trouble defeating it, here is a guide for you.

How to easily beat the Cleansing Knight boss

Cleansing Knight is the first boss in AI Limit that will surely pose you huge problems. First of all, his attacks are super fast and almost impossible to dodge, and not just that, it is very hard to recognise which attack the boss will pull because all of them start almost in the same matter.

Like all the bosses before him, Cleansing Knight will feature a single phase, but the attack pattern will change mid-phase, or when you deplete half of his health. After this, Cleansing Knight will pack even bigger punch than before.

Even though it looks like there is no way to kill this boss due to his devastating and fast attacks, if you use one strategy, he will fall very easily, and this strategy is parrying. Before the fight starts, equip Counter Field on your left hand, equip a fast weapon, preferably a sword, and enter the arena.

Immediately run towards the boss and hit him once; he will step back and prepare for the attack. Remember that parrying is a bit different in this game, and to do it properly, you must press and hold the L1 button half a second earlier than his attack connects. Once the parry is successful, he will get stuggered, which will allow you to deplete a large portion of his health.

Do not bother dodging; it is very hard to hit the timing; instead, learn to parry; it is way more rewarding. Once you deplete half of his health, he will switch phases, giving you enough time for at least three free hit combos, if you stay close to him. When he switches phases, avoid electric surge attacks and dodge to the side to avoid his overhead plunging attack—if you fail to dodge this one, it is game over.

After this attack, he will return to the regular ones again. Repeat the strategy, and he will soon fall. Watch our video guide we posted above to see all those tips in action.
