As the company's gearing for the launch of first instalment in Spider-Man's The City That Never Sleeps DLC dubbed The Heist, we've learned that new game plus and the complementary difficulty won't be arriving in this round of updates.
Even though NG+ was announced to be coming in the 1.07 update scheduled for 17 October 2018, it seems that Insomniac had a change of heart as the patch notes have no mention of it. As is customary for NG+ modes, you'll be able to replay Spider-Man to your heart's content with all the accumulated gear and suits once it launches.
Strangely enough, Insomniac Games first included NG+ in the patch notes, then rapidly changed it, so we're yet to find out the exact date when the feature will launch. This means that the two new Spider-Man trophies are off the table as well, since they were specifically tied to completing the game at ultimate difficulty settings and finishing an NG+ run.
The company also reminded that Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC kicks off on 23 October 2018 with The Heist, which brings a few more twists in the web slinger's storyline. As you're probably aware, The Heist brings in Felicia Hardy, a.k.a. Black Cat among the cast of the three chapter long DLC package.
Black Cat was busy leaving clues for Spider-Man and setting up her entrance, as was clear from the main storyline, so all that's left is to take the centre stage. Of course, this is not all that the chapter will entail.
The Heist also brings a new faction of enemies, crimes, challenges, trophies and three brand new Spider-Man suits, which look pretty swell. We're looking at the Resilient Suit, Scarlet Spider II one and the Spider-UK suit from Spider-Verse.
This leaves two more episodes left in Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, namely Turf Wars and the final chapter, Silver Lining. The former will be coming out in November 2018, while the latter should conclude the saga once it launches in December.
