Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer has confirmed that Xbox team is working hard on their plans for E3 2020 and don't have any plans to skip the expo like their main competitor Sony.
Yesterday, a new source confirmed that Sony plan to skip the world's biggest gaming expo E3, again in 2020. As you may know, the Japanese tech giant decided that it's best to take a break from E3 in 2019, saying that they will try to find other ways to present their exclusives and engage with the PlayStation community.
Many argue that it's a pretty bad move by Sony but Microsoft will probably be ecstatic that their main competitor won't be on such a big stage two years in a row. In fact, they already confirmed that Xbox will appear on E3 2020 and that the team is working hard on their plans for the expo.
Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer tweeted that 2020 is a milestone year for everyone at Xbox, which suggests that Xbox see their appearance at E3 2020 as a celebration of all the good work that's been done on the current and next-gen consoles. Here is the tweet in full:
"Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our platform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox," Spencer wrote.
Xbox and PC gamers will be pretty happy to hear this since Xbox's show on E3 was usually one of the best ones in the last couple of years. Hopefully, the team has a lot of surprises ready for June 2020 when E3 is officially kicking off in LA.
