The original Call of Duty Warzone map Verdansk is set to return to the popular battle royale at some point in time, according to the most recent leaks.

Ever since Call of Duty Warzone developers removed the Verdansk map from the playlists to replace it with the sunny Pacific map Caldera, fans of this free-to-play battle royale have been wondering if and when will the beloved Verdansk return.

Activision said previously that the original, pre-Black Ops Cold War Verdansk will probably never return to Call of Duty Warzone but players are still hopeful that the map could have a special re-introduction to the playlists in some way.

The most recent Call of Duty leaks from YouTuber Nero's Cinema state that there are plans for Verdansk map to return to Call of Duty Warzone at some point. Sadly, we don't know when that might happen but since the leaker talked about the upcoming Warzone 2, it's a safe bet that Verdansk won't return before the launch of Warzone 2.

We doubt the dev team would simply shelve Verdansk since they've spend years making it, properly balancing it and then updating it with new locations and points of interest.

Though it must be reiterated that Verdansk as we know it, will never return to Call of Duty so expect additional changes if this map ever gets back to Call of Duty.

Call of Duty Warzone 2 is rumoured to be launching sometime in early 2023.
