Valorant is going live on June 2, 2020, and if you didn't catch Morello's insights on upcoming agent changes, you might want to keep an eye on Omen and Raze.

Omen is not a bad agent per se but there are some inconsistencies with his abilities, even if we ignore the shenanigans that sent him outside the regular map boundaries.

One of the first things that throws people off when deciding whether to play Omen or not are his smokes. The ability may prove to be disorienting for newcomers and can be utterly useless if you don't have good map knowledge.

According to one of Morello's streams, seen in the video below at 5:07 mark, the team is going to introduce changes that will make the smoke targeting better, which should theoretically make getting used to the character easier.

Paranoia, Omen's Q ability, will become  "better and bigger and easier to hit with and more reliable" so you can expect a lot of impaired vision in the future.

His ultimate is getting some sort of surprise change that Morello didn't divulge much besides saying that it's a quality of life change. We will have to find out about the change the old fashioned way. Overall, Omen's changes are not supposed to make him better but more reliable.

On the matter of Raze, Morello noted that she is not going to get more hard nerfs for the time being. In other words, no things such as damage reduction or making her abilities more expensive as he believes she got nerfed enough when she lost one grenade charge.

The main concern players have about the agent currently is the double satchel charge jump but there are apparently no plans to change that either.

Morello touches on Viper's state later on in the video. She is in for a change more substantial than just numbers tuning but he can't reveal too much of that right now. It is safe to assume these changes will not make it to day one patch.

Speaking of which, Valorant is scheduled to launch on June 2 at following times:

  • Europe: 5:00 AM GMT / 6:00 AM BST / 7:00 AM CEST
  • North America: 5:00 AM PT / 8:00 AM ET
  • Asia-Pacific: 8:00 AM KST / JST
