Riot Games' upcoming hero shooter, Valorant, is set to have closed beta soon and the announcement is apparently mere hours away from the time of writing. A new agent will be revealed along with an FAQ and a video.
Valorant's upcoming beta and other information seems to be in high demand as the game is coming from a renowned developer studio that's sitting at the top of the esports world.
If the information provided by the Polish website, Boop , turns out to be correct, we are in for a treat on 30 March 2020. This is supposedly when the beta will be announced at 8:00 PM CET. If this is not you time zone, you can consult timee.io for instant time conversion, generated by a bot on Valorant subreddit.
The video announcement will apparently reveal the new agent, Dillion, who will wear a beret and an eyepatch. More importantly, the closed beta sign-ups will apparently start at the same time.
It seems like the beta invites will be handed out via Twitch drops, so if you want in, keep an eye on designated streams. They tend to have "Twitch Drops Enabled" in either the title or next to it.
Microtransactions will be enabled during the beta apparently and players will be able to purchase cosmetic items which will not carry over to the full game once it's released. On the flip side, the premium currency you buy with actual money will carry over. Furthermore, there will be a 20 per cent bonus on any premium currency purchases.
Valorant closed beta will start on 7 April 2020.
