CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a make-over worthy of the next generation. The new edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements.
CD Projekt Red are working on bringing Geralt and his adventures from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the next generation. The polish developer shared the happy news via Twitter .
"Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content" reads CD Projekt Red's announcement.
The next-generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt base game, its two expansions and bonus content will be up for grabs as a standalone purchase for players on PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
Those who already own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be offered a free upgrade to the new edition.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released by CD Projekt red back in 2015. A Nintendo Switch version of the game was released in October 2019.
It is the third game in the series based on The Witcher series of fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski . The game's story follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire.
