Fans wondered whether The Division 2 will require a better PC than the original game did and now the answer is yes. Still, the difference is minimal so if your PC handled The Division, it shouldn't have any issues running the sequel.

According to Ubisoft's official reveal of The Division 2 PC requirements, it will not be too hard on your systems since they look almost the same as for the original The Division. There are some adjustments, but considering it's been two years between the games, it is nothing too serious.

Anyway, the minimum requirements for running The Division 2 on 1080p with 30 FPS will include a rather cheap rig, as an AMD FX-6350 or Intel i5-2500 will do. As for GPU, GTX 670 or an R9 270 will be all you need, with a minimum requirement of 8GB RAM.

You may have figured this out by now, but it looks like the team at Massive Entertainment optimised the game well for PC, from ground up, as you don't need to buy more powerful and expensive components than you would get in a console, in order to run the game with the same performance.

Those who want 1080p in 60FPS will need a bit more scratch though, just like console players do, in order to get a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X. CPU needed for this type of performance will need to be at least an i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, while the GPU requirement is a GTX 970 or an AMD RX 480. RAM requirement remains at 8GB.

Ubisoft provided an in-depth breakdown of resolutions and performances, so it includes separate sets of requirements for 1440p and 4K at 60FPS. Speaking of frames per second, they will be entirely uncapped.
