Neon Giant's isometric cyberpunk action RPG The Ascent is the biggest launch ever for the publisher Curve Digital with $5 million in sales revenue during its launch weekend.
The Ascent has earned a record $5 million in sales revenue during its launch weekend, the publisher Curve Digital officially announced via a press release. The publisher state that this is their biggest launch ever.
The total includes unit sales revenue generated across PC and Xbox platforms but not Xbox Game Pass. Curve Digital also reveal that The Ascent has secured the number one slot in the Steam Global Charts.
"The Ascent is the first game out of Curve where our new team has been able to substantially make their mark, working closely with the developer and our platform partners. This success is the result of a genuine team effort throughout the company, the arrival of new leadership and talent and is truly reflective of our new approach of being developer and player focused in all that we do," commented Curve CEO John Clark.
The Ascent has also generated over ten million views on YouTube and Twitch combined. One thing that Curve Digital did no reveal is the player count number from Xbox Game Pass. There's no doubt that the game was a massive success among Game Pass subscribers and hopefully, the publisher will reveal more details regarding this very soon.
The cyberpunk action RPG, developed by Swedish studio Neon Giant, launched for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC on July 29, 2021.
