Gearbox announced they would be launching Tales From the Borderlands sales again, meaning we will finally be able to get the game after the entire kerfuffle with the original devs going out of business.

Telltale Games met an unfortunate end in 2018 and ever since then the IPs they worked on have been hard to come by until their eventual relaunch. Now it's time for Tales From the Borderlands, where we follow the exploits of Rhys and the many crossovers with characters from Borderlands 2.

Gearbox announced they would put the game up for sale on February 17, 2021, exactly a week after the announcement. You will be able to purchase Tales From the Borderlands on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

As far a the consoles go, this is the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version but the game will be available on PS5 and XSX/S with the cross-generation save transfers being fully supported.

The news is good on PC too as the game will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store immediately, no timed exclusivity included.

Furthermore, the re-release will be a full package type of game, meaning you will not be able to purchase episodes separately - the single purchase will contain all five episodes:

  • Episode 1 - Zer0 Sum
  • Episode 2 - Atlas Mugged
  • Episode 3 - Catch a Ride
  • Episode 4 - Escape Plan Bravo
  • Episode 5 - The Vault of the Traveler

There is currently no price tag on the store pages but it's bound to appear in the next few days.
