Epic Games Store continues with its latest streak of heavy hitters and after Civilization VI, the freebie of the week is Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
Note that you may have some trouble downloading it in the first hour or so, which is not surprising considering the number of folks that are likely clicking like crazy right now.
A similar thing happened with Grand Theft Auto V, as we ended up being routed to Epic's servers across the globe, eventually ending up in China .
Once you get through though, we can promise you that you won't regret it, and not just because it's free. The name is actually a bit misleading because it's not the first Borderlands, even if its art style and the narrative direction are still a joy to behold.
"Borderlands: The Handsome Collection: Shoot and loot as you explore the mayhem-filled world of Pandora in Borderlands 2 and the lunar madness of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection", the blurb reads.
Needless to say, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection comes with all the expansions for Borderlands 2, and any bonus content that's added along the way.
If you're not familiar with the Borderlands franchise, this is a great time to jump in, and we cordially recommend playing the game in co-op with some friends, as the experience is unforgettable. Maybe it gets you in the mood to get Borderlands 3 as well, but you have a lot to play until then.
