Another League of Legends' exciting new PvE mode, Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad, will drop into League of Legends on July 17, 2024. Riot Games finally departed from their characteristic genre, and introduced for the first time the WASD movement in this game mode.
Swarm whisks one away to a universe inside the Anima Squad Event, where one is tasked with teaming up to defend humanity and Final City from the alien Primordians.
One of the key features that makes Swarm a standout MOBA is the lineup of playables: the champions, or Fighters, that hold their own against each other because of varied capabilities and styles of play. Swarm Operation: Anima Squad focuses heavily on the champions' lore, with story-driven achievements unlocking themed champions. While playable solo, the mode encourages cooperative play, allowing fallen teammates to be revived.
Completing all story-driven maps unlocks matchmaking, transforming solo challenges into high-stakes endeavors where victory or defeat hinges on individual skill and teamwork.
The in-game champions are given an entirely different set of statistics, which includes exclusive ones. Fighters also have access to only three player-controlled abilities that are similar but not identical to the main game, and which do not improve through skill points.
