Paradox Interactive announced the new DLC for Surviving Mars, In-House Buildings, which is a result of collaboration with a prominent member of the modding community, Silva.

Haemimont Games partnered up with a well-known member of the modding community, Silva, in order to deliver the latest DLC to Surviving Mars. Named In-Dome Buildings, the DLC name is rather self-explanatory and it adds eight buildings as well as several technical additions in order to provide more options to the players.

You can check the contents out on the trailer below but some of the highlights in the DLC include habitats for humanity such as Smart Apartments, which are large habitats, Seniors Residence the medium habitats and Large Nursery, also large habitats.

Furthermore, there are five in-dome additions:

  • Medical Post - small dome service
  • Security Post - small dome service
  • Hospital - large dome service
  • TV Studio Workshop - large dome service
  • School Spire - dome spire

Players can get this DLC at the price of $4.99 USD/€4.99/£3.99 and it's now available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Besides the paid DLC, Surviving Mars got the free Tourism update which now lets tourists rate their stay in your colony through the Holiday Experience Rating. The higher the rating, the more rewards, funds and future tourist applicants you will get.

Additionally, players can now build hotels after completing the Smart Homes research in order to get more tourist comfort and raise their satisfaction along with Low-G Amusement Park that should boost satisfaction further.

If that wasn't enough, you can now also set waypoints at places of interest in order to let tourists go sightseeing around the colony for even more satisfaction boosting. You can either order an RC Safari from Earth or build your own after completing the Rover Printing research.
