On the official Hellpoint Steam page, Cradle Games' souls-like RPG is described as 'an intense action RPG taking place on Irid Novo, a derelict space station soaked in an intoxicating dark sci-fi atmosphere. Fight dreadful creatures, face the Cosmic Gods and unravel their twisted story.' Color us intrigued.
Just like in any other Souls-like game, you will have many bosses to defeat - and whose patterns you will learn by heart, as well as many areas to explore and weapons to master.
Developer Cradle Games is a Quebec City-based video games studio founded by veterans of the industry that have previously worked on series like Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, Spider-Man, Prince of Persia, Skylanders, Rainbow Six, TMNT, and more. They know their craft.
As for the publishing side of the business, Hellpoint's publisher is tinyBuild, a Seattle-based indie label behind the Hello Neighbor franchise and over 30 renowned titles, including Graveyard Keeper, SpeedRunners, and Party Hard.
The game is coming out for the Nintendo Switch on February 25, and a day later for the PS4 (retail version).
The release for the Next-gen console, which can be expected later this year, has also been announced, as well as the fact that Hellpoint will run in 60fps and will include all-post features that have been released so far on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
