Ashly Burch will once again breathe life into the character of Aloy, and in a recent interview she did not hide her enthusiasm for the upcoming sequel, which she describes as "much more refined, bigger and better Horizon Zero Dawn."
The actress who gives the voice to Aloy, ie. the heroine from the PlayStation 4's exclusive title Horizon Zero Dawn, talked about the sequel and what fans of the series can expect when Horizon Forbidden West sees the light of day, hopefully, this year - as planned.
Ashly Burch, the actress behind Aloy's voice, spoke in an interview with GamesRadar about her role in the sequel to the great PS exclusive and what the talented studio Guerrilla Games is preparing for us. From what we could see in the game’s announcement trailer, we can expect to be amazed by the beautiful adventure once again.
Ashly said that her job in the studio is not over yet and that she is still recording lines for Aloy, but also that progress has not stopped despite the COVID19 situation. She mentioned that everything Horizon Zero Dawn fans love can be expected to be back in the sequel, just more refined, bigger and better, such as "the gorgeous world, the immersive story, the awesome gameplay."
Aloy will travel to new locations, meet new tribes and discover even more of the world and history. Burch made no secret of her excitement for Horizon Forbidden West and praised the team of writers so much that she said she felt like a child sitting by a campfire as the writing team took her through the game's story arc.
Horizon Forbidden West is being developed by Guerilla Games (Killzone series, Horizon series) and is due to launch on PS4 and PS5 in 2021.
The PlayStation 5 version of the game will take advantage of the console's increased processing power, custom solid-state drive storage, Tempest Engine, and Dualsense controller to support features such as advanced haptic feedback, 3D spatial audio, and reduced loading times. The game will also feature an updated version of the Decima engine.
