If the name Shirley Curry doesn't ring a bell then Skyrim Grandma surely will. And not only has the 80-year-old streamer been confirmed as an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6, she's getting her own NPC follower mod in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
Curry has gained quite the following since she started streaming Skyrim and she's arguably even more popular in Bethesda's ranks.
Back when she was in The Elder Scrolls 6, Todd Howard himself said that all the developers were excited about getting to meet her. It's not every day that a developer is that excited to meet a player, that's for sure.
Of course, Curry is just as beloved in the community and she's getting her own NPC follower mod in Skyrim in 2020, although the exact date is yet to be confirmed.
It just so turns out that fans who petitioned to get Skyrim Grandma into TES6 wanted to see her in Skyrim as well, and the community responded magnificently. Again.
The devs are promising the real deal, with compelling missions and Curry's voice lines, some of which she re-recorded for this purpose. One quest is already completed and one bigger one is in the works. She will be a classic barbarian, two-handed and archery expert.
One of the devs wrote on Reddit, " I should emphasize that she is doing this for you. She really cares about her subscribers and anyone who enjoys her videos. After having a surprising amount of back and forth with her, I can honestly say that I've never met someone like her. She is exactly as good-hearted and, simultaneously, devilish as she seems on her videos."
