Following the years of controversy and pitfalls, Skyrim Together is finally ready to launch and bring multiplayer to one of the most iconic RPGs in existence.
Skyrim Together has seen a lot of controversy over the past few years, mostly because it was funded by fans who were then told the development team owed them nothing. Now, the multiplayer mod is ready for release, with a few caveats.
First, Skyrim Together Reborn will be released on July 8, 2022, at 4:00 PM GMT on NexusMods, the most popular mod hosting website around.
Second, the team that eventually saw the development through is not the same group that scorned the fans back in 2019 and the vibe feels generally better now.
Third, Skyrim Together Reborn will release in beta state, which means the players will most definitely encounter bugs but the team has designated a place where the bugs should be reported as they continue to improve the mod.
The latest gameplay video shows a group of five people adventuring through Skyrim but only the host gets to be the Dragonborn - they are the player who interacts with NPCs, quests and so on. However, the quests get synchronised with the entire group so everyone should be able to get the progress.
Meanwhile, it is currently unclear how compatible it will be with other mods as the devs stated mod syncing might happen but conflicts are likely to occur .
