The next big Sony Interactive Entertainment release Saros has a new trailer, this one focused on PlayStation 5-specific features, and it is worth your time even if you have been loosely following the game up to now.
The list of supported features covers 3D audio, adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and near-instant loading speeds. A pretty standard set of PlayStation console features, but the trailer itself is anything but.
The visuals are so crisp, the effects work is stunning, and the whole thing moves with a confidence that puts it clearly above Returnal in terms of visual polish and sheer spectacle. It's safe to say that Housemarque's first game set a high bar for these types of games but Saros looks like it's aiming well beyond that.
What stood out beyond the visuals is the music. Reverby guitar riffs run through the trailer and give it an energy that feels genuinely different from the ambient, unsettling tone Returnal leaned on. It makes the game feel faster, more aggressive, and harder to ignore.
If your wallet was already nervous, this trailer is not going to help.
Saros is a PS5 exclusive developed by Housemarque. Rahul Kohli leads the cast as the game's main character. It's set to launch on April 30, 2026.
