Saints Row fans have been waiting for a while for the game to get on Steam and the wait is finally over, with the timed exclusivity for EGS running out before the end of May.

Saints Row the Third: Remastered will release on Steam on May 22, 2021, as Deep Silver's deal with Epic Games is over soon. As you probably know, SR3 is probably the most successful title in the series that really put the franchise in the spotlight.

The previous instalments were overshadowed by GTA series as the thematic between the franchises was very similar, although Saints Row certainly deserved all the attention and fandom it collected over the years. In SR3, the all-star crew is coming back together even though we don't get to enjoy Johnny Gat as much as we'd like to.

That said, the game introduced new interesting characters to keep us amused but given the gang-related nature of Saints Row, the characters' illegal activities may not be everyone's cup of tea.

If you're looking for a game that explores the grey area of morality without taking itself too seriously, Saints Row 3 is definitely a good pick. Not being on Steam is probably the biggest reason why it didn't gather more attention since many gamers don't really like Epic Games Store as a result of its exclusivity practice.

Furthermore, if you're not sure on whether SR3 Remastered is worth your time and money, you can always wait a bit to see what the Steam user reviews say.
