According to two Spanish gaming websites, The Last of Us 2 release date will most likely come in Autumn 2019. Furthermore, the rumours suggest that the release date will be officially confirmed sometime this week, in a new trailer.
One of the most anticipated games this year is certainly Naught Dog's upcoming The Last of Us Part 2, which is yet to get a release date. With E3 2019 fast approaching, which means we get all sorts of leaks and rumours floating around the internet, the PS4 exclusive wasn't immune to various reports, claiming that the release window for The Last of Us Part 2 will "likely be" Autumn 2019.
According to a Spanish website Gamereactor Spain who reported this info, which was translated by GameRant, "sources close to the company" have told them that a trailer will officially confirm the exact release date within the week.
Another report from website Legion de Jugadores also claims that an "anonymous source" told them of the arrival of brand new The Last of Us Part 2 trailer in the upcoming days with a possibility that an end of the year release will be confirmed in the trailer.
We know that Sony won't take part on this year's E3 expo, which they officially confirmed earlier, which makes it pretty reasonable to expect that they could drop big news prior to E3, while the anticipation and E3 hype is at the highest levels.
Of course, this is just a guess and nothing is confirmed at the moment. You should also take these reports about a new trailer with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour or leak.
However, we got some solid info earlier this year when ex-IGN editor named Alanah Pearce confirmed that The Last of Us Part 2 is 100 per cent scheduled to release in 2019. More on that here .
The Last of Us Part 2 was originally announced back in December 2016, the game's story is set five years after the original game and it puts players in the boots of older Ellie.
Thanks, GameRant .
