Prices for both digital and standard version of Sony's next-gen console PlayStation 5 have leaked via Turkish online store. The prices are approximately $399 for the digital and $499 for the standard version of the console.
Both Sony and their fierce rival Microsoft are yet to officially unveil the prices for their respective console PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Rumour has it, both companies are waiting to see the price of the competitor's console before revealing their pricing plan.
However, it looks like the price of both PlayStation 5 versions has leaked via Turkish online store . The digital edition of the console is apparently priced 2899 Turkish Lira (TL) without tax, which is approximately $399.
The more expensive version of the console, which comes with a blu ray drive costs 3450 TL without tax, which is around $499.
These prices seem to be identical to those from Amazon France leak which surfaced earlier. However, it would not be the first time that stores put placeholder prices, which are subject to change.
As always with leaks and rumours, copious amounts of salt are highly recommended. It would not be the first time that such listings are completely fake or wide of the mark. Sony recently hinted that they will emphasize "value as opposed to price" which could suggest PS5 price may be higher than expected.
An earlier report from Bloomberg suggested that Sony are struggling to lock down the price of PS5 and that the manufacturing cost of the console is around $450 per unit.
