Nintendo Direct happens on a somewhat regular basis normally and the reason fans are looking forward to it is the info about the upcoming games and features for their favourite gaming platform. However, the prolonged period of waiting that happened recently had the fans worried when the next one might happen.
According to a leaker on Twitter who correctly predicted E3's cancellation almost a week before it was confirmed, the next Nintendo Direct will happen in the week starting on 23 March 2020.
Considering some coarse language used in the tweets, we have to warn you upfront - read at your own discretion and try to avoid doing so while at work.
The E3 cancellation leak on this Twitter account happened on 6 March 2020 while ESA officially confirmed it five days later, on 11 March 2020.
Meanwhile, the supposed Nintendo Direct leak happened on 16 March 2020. According to the tweet, this Direct will offer two teasers about two heavy-hitter franchises - Legend of Zelda and Metroid.
In the case of Link's adventures, it will be something about Breath of the Wild 2 and the teaser will be between 25 and 30 seconds long. Samus will not fare that well since her teaser will apparently get only five seconds of screen time.
Keep in mind that this may just end up being a rumour but if it turns out to be true, Nintendo fans will have a lot to celebrate in the coming weeks. In the meantime, there will be more news regarding indie games coming to Switch on 17 March 2020.
