Reliable leaker Omni, who has shared a lot of correct details about FromSoftware's games in the past claims that Bloodborne 2 is not even in line to be developed and it will be a long time before the sequel happens.
From Software are working hard on their upcoming action RPG Elden Ring, which they described as the biggest title in the studio's rich history. As we wait for the full Elden Ring reveal, the fans of other Souls-like games from From Software's are wondering what exactly they can expect from the beloved studio once Elden Ring finally arrives.
Bloodborne fans, in particular, have been craving for more Bloodborne games for years now but From Software never really talked about a potential sequel for the game. Back in 2018, the developer left a hint in Deracine , suggesting that Bloodborne 2 could be their next game but since then, nothing really happened to indicate the development of a full sequel.
Reliable leaker Omni also recently confirmed that Bloodborne 2 is not going to happen anytime soon. Omni accurately revealed a lot of details from From Software's games but you should take the info with a grain of salt since it is not coming from the official channel.
Omni claims that at the moment From Software have several projects in the works but sadly, none of these projects is Bloodborne-related. "From works on multiple projects all the time. As of right now, the game [Bloodborne 2] isn't in development or in line to be in development," Omni wrote on ResetEra . He added that even if Bloodborne 2 is happening, that will not be anytime soon since the devs are pretty busy with other games "So in the event that a Bloodborne sequel does happen, it's not happening any time soon," he concluded.
All in all, Bloodborne 2 will, as things stand, remain a dream for many die-hard fans of the game. Hopefully, the studio's next game Elden Ring will be more than enough to fill the void left by one of the best games from From Software's catalogue.
