If you've finished Capcom's revisiting of the 1998 classic and were left craving for more, then today's the day you get to do so as Resident Evil 2's first DLC called The Ghost Survivors is available today on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One.
Capcom likened The Ghost Survivors to The 4th Survivor, which puts players in the role of Umbrella agent Hunk fighting his way out of Raccoon City in both versions of the highly acclaimed game.
The Ghost Survivors is exactly about that - escaping Raccoon City "by any means necessary - but this time, you'll be playing as three characters that never survived that fateful night."
The first story is about Rober Kendo, owner of Kendo Gun Shop, whose 2019 showing was left a bit ambiguous in comparison to his clear death back in the 1998 version.
Anyway, Kendo is given a way out if he can find a way out of Raccoon City and around a new kind of poisonous zombie. Or through him, whichever you prefer.
Story number two is Runaway and it focuses on the mayor's daughter Katherine. "Seeking to escape Raccoon City with a certain someone, Katherine Warren must navigate the streets while avoiding a strangely mutated type of zombie that can only be stopped with particularly powerful ammunition", Capcom wrote.
Last but not least is Forgotten Soldier, which follows an Umbrella agent called Ghost, who has to escape from deep underneath the city.
There's a catch though - the zombies he encounters are as armoured as he is and Capcom says that The 4th Survivor veterans will find this particularly interesting.
Each of the stories in Resident Evil 2: The Ghost Survivors will also come with a unique Training mode, so that you can practice before moving onto higher difficulty challenges.

As you'd expect, The Ghost Survivors will bring a fresh batch of challenges and trophies, with additional cosmetic unlockables to match.
The Ghost Survivors launches today, 15 February 2019, for all platforms. You can find more details about the DLC in Capcom's PlayStation blog post .
