With only a single day left until the launch Capcom's remake of their horror classic from 1998, Resident Evil 2 got a live-action trailer that's actually a remake of the one done by the legendary director George A. Romero's back in 1998.

If you're old enough to remember the original game, you probably know about the Japanese Resident Evil 2 ad made by the man whose movies are said to have started the entire zombie thing. Granted, the new trailer is much longer and of higher quality, but nevertheless - it's nice of Capcom to commemorate Romero's work.

Much like the old one, Resident Evil 2's new live-action trailer has Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield getting into some zombie trouble before meeting up. There's no real action of note other than the trademark slow-staggering zombies but the menacing looks by Leon and Claire in the end says enough - the action is your responsibility.

Resident Evil 2 has been quite an anticipated game and Capcom have been insisting that this is no remaster, but more like a remake from the ground up. True to their word, the developer started by changing the tank controls of old, opting for third-person perspective as the middle ground between the 7's first person and the old fixed cameras.

That's barely the only thing that's changed, although the third person perspective seemed to dictate most of the changes made to the new Resident Evil 2. Yes, this includes the original's most prominent scare with the licker, although it's been more than compensated for by Capcom's team. You'll see, trust us.

If you needed more proof of just how highly anticipated Capcom's remake is, you should know that the demo already racked up .

If you're interested in the demo, you can find it on Steam , but do note that it's a one-shot, 30-minute test drive, whose length resulted in 74 per cent of players before it expired. So, as Iron Maiden used to say, be quick or be dead.
