Ever since Riot Games introduced Raze to Valorant, there has been an outcry about her abilities and now she has been nerfed. Additionally, one of the strongest agents, Sage, has seen some much needed changes.
Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent's words will undoubtedly haunt Valorant's evolution as a live service for years to come. This was true enough with the first agent to be introduced in the closed beta as many have called the company out on giving Raze too many abilities with which she can damage the enemy team.
While the devs didn't remove Raze's lethality from the abilities directly, they did reduce the chances she will get to blow someone up. Paint Shells (E) no longer has two charges, with one still replenishing each round. However, it does not have a cooldown anymore and will instead require two kills to reset during a round, much like Jett's dash.
Furthermore, all her abilities' sound cues have been altered to properly alert enemies of where they are coming from, with the exception of the roomba. The tiny bot was obvious enough as it is. On top of that, a bug regarding the Paint Shells' premature secondary explosion has been fixed.
Sage was hit with some changes where Riot sought to make her less powerful but not kick her in the shins. Slow Orb (Q) will no longer cause the walking enemies' footsteps loud. On the other hand, bunny hopping across the frozen field will no longer work as the orb slows enemies in the air as well.
Another interesting change that the ulti orb will be moved on Split. It will no longer be on mid and will change its position to the road to the reviled B site which most attackers were ignoring due to defenders having just too many angles to shoot from. Players might have proper incentive to go that route now.
