Ubisoft gave smoke propagation some fancy upgrades, making it a more potent tool that also uplifts certain operators that were not quite so powerful before.

Warden has been suffering from his lacklustre gadget for a long while now and his salvation may be in indirect buffs rather than altering the operator himself.

Namely, the smoke propagation changes from the update that will bring the next season will cause it to occupy more space since it will spread with more efficiency. It will follow the patterns that fire effects use currently so holes that previously didn't let the smoke through will do so now. In short, it will be a much better tool now, with a higher impact on each round, meaning those who can see through it will benefit greatly.

Glaz and Warden are, of course, the two operators uniquely suited to deal with this. In the case of Glaz, he will be able to exploit smoke much more often, provided he coordinates well with the teammates since only attackers can carry smoke grenades. Furthermore, Capitao's unique smoke will provide an even better kill zone for Glaz, hopefully nullifying the handicap of having to use a DMR as primary.

On the other side, Warden can pull off something similar since Smoke, the operator can pop remote gas grenades on demand in order to block vision for everyone except the former Secret Service agent.

Due to the fact that defenders are often in tight spaces, bullet holes and other means of spreading the smoke will definitely buff Warden as he can be a frighteningly powerful anchor now, provided he teams up with the SAS chemist.
