Ubisoft just posted the latest "episode" of Rainbow Six Siege's top issues and community concerns, where they announced changes to Melusi, Ace and Hibana.
Of course, the dev addressed far more than just upcoming balance changes but we'll take it from the ones that are coming to Rainbow Six Siege the first.
"During the Steel Wave test server period we received a number of feedback requests for balancing tweaks to the new Operators. After evaluating feedback from players, and data from the TS, we plan to make a few balancing changes to the new operators with the 2.1 patch", they wrote.
Rainbow Six Siege players can expect the following changes:
- Lowering the penalty zone by approximately 33%.
- Lowering the sound of Banshee effect in first person PoV.
Ace & Hibana
- Remove the possibility of destroying Bandit's Batteries through reinforcements, by placing the charges on the floor
Ubisoft are also working on a Match Cancellation feature, which is on the Test Server. The goal is to leave players with an option to cancel matches in the early stage, provided their team is incomplete. Rainbow Six Siege should be getting the feature in Y5S2.1 as well.
Rainbow Six Siege: Steel Wave brought with it tighter reign over ranked mode, with rank locks and 100 game limits to reach the Champion's rank. Ubisoft promised more info on cheating, hacking and console DDoS attacks soon though.
