M.U.T.E. Protocol will be an event that introduces a futuristic look to Rainbow Six Siege, brings along a new mode and plenty of neon colours to make a lights factory jealous.

Rainbow Six Siege's latest limited-time event kicks off on August 4, 2020, and will go on for two weeks, until August 17. It will bring the titular new game mode which is actually a spin on the existing Secure Area.

Attackers will fly in and attempt to shut down the aforementioned M.U.T.E. Protocol while the defenders will be holed up in the Comm Tower in an attempt to prevent the attackers from completing their mission.

The attacking team will have to secure two areas and will be able to switch between operator and drone forms by using the Observation Tools. Meanwhile, the defenders can deploy bulletproof cameras which will let them materialise in different spots on the map.

A total of 41 operators will be available while those who didn't make the cut will not be around as they don't fit what Ubisoft envisioned in the event's gameplay.

Operators who will not appear in M.U.T.E. Protocol are:

  • Twitch
  • Thatcher
  • Mozzie
  • Mute
  • Maestro
  • Valkyrie
  • Dokkaebi
  • Goyo
  • Echo
  • Clash
  • Montagne
  • Blitz
  • Caveira
