There is a lot to celebrate in PUBG: New State today. The mobile game just got its first major update just as it surpassed the 45 million downloads milestone.
PUBG: New State just got its first major post-launch update and it almost seems like the devs planned to release the new content just as New State surpassed 45 million downloads globally. PUBG: New State's Survivor Pass Vol.2 is now available, along with new vehicles, a fresh weapon, some gun customization options and more.
PUBG: New State Survivor Pass Vol. 2
Fans can already get their hands on the latest Survivor Pass. The second pass is based on the in-game character Bell, a part of the Dream Runners Faction. There will be a bunch of story missions that will reward players with all of Bella's costumes. There is also a Premium Pass on offer. The paid portion will give the players a chance to earn additional vehicle skins and character costumes, on top of the 1,500 NC that will be waiting for them after Level 48 of the pass.
New Vehicles
Electron is an electric six-seater minibus with increased durability when compared to the other vehicles available in-game. The Mesta, on the other hand, is a classic sports car that seats two people. The Mesta offers quick acceleration and can hit high speeds.
The Electron is available on Troi and Training Ground while the Mesta is available on Troi, Erangel and Training Ground.
New Weapon
Everyone say hello to the L85A3, a new assault rifle with low recoil. The weapon may fire somewhat slower than its counterparts, but compensates with the highest damage output in the game and uses 5.56m ammo.
Expanded Gun Customizations
New customization options have been added for the M416, SLR and L85A3 weapons. Players can now add a Long Barrel to the M416 which will increase its damage but also have the same effect on its vertical recoil. The SLR can be upgraded with a 5.56mm Barrel to increase the weapon's accuracy at the expense of decreased damage.
The new L85A3 assault rifle also comes with customizations: a Vertical Foregrip Bipod which will manage its vertical recoil and offer a more controlled aftereffect while the shooter is crouching or lying down.
Merit Point System
The new system has been put in place to encourage positive play. Merit Points will be lost if players are reported for negative behaviour. Lose enough points and you'll be banned from playing Squad Mode until you increase your point total through Solo play.
PUBG: New State - Holiday season plans
With the first major update out of the way, players can look forward to a series of planned in-game events. Available throughout the season, the events will include weekend play events and the "Winter Festival Challenge" where players can earn "Crimson Snowflake - M416" weapon skin. More information about the season-appropriate events will be shared at a later date.
