Krafton announced the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, a version of PUBG Mobile dedicated to this particular player group, probably as a result of the issues PUBG Mobile had in the region previously.

India just got its own version of PUBG. Fresh out of Early Access, Battlegrounds mobile India is now available to play in India as a free-to-play multiplayer on Google Play.

Battlegrounds mobile India is basically the battle royale we know but it will be free to play and see the well-known „Chicken dinner“ formula translated onto the small-ish mobile screens across India.

Battlegrounds Mobile India was available for pre-registrations via Google Play since May 18 2021. The game's developer, Krafton, shared that they have reached 40 million pre-registrations as of today.20 million fans have already tried out the game while it was still in Early Access.

In celebration of the Battlegrounds Mobile India launch, players can now score a free purple outfit by taking part in the India Ka Battlegrounds event.

Upcoming events include Weekend Vibes, Celebration Time, Friends for Life and much more with exciting rewards from outfits to weapon skins.“This is just the beginning of a series of new content, collaborations and esports tournaments coming your way, and we will strive to ensure that our fans and community in India can fully enjoy the Battlegrounds experiences.” said CH Kim, CEO of KRAFTON, Inc.

KRAFTON has plans to make further investments into India's local gaming and esports industry.
