Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the first Prince of Persia game in over a decade, is set to launch in just a couple of weeks and today, Ubisoft officially revealed the PC specs for their highly-anticipated 2D platformer.
As you've probably guessed, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown won't require top-of-the-line hardware due to its 2D nature. Ubisoft reveal that players with the iconic Nvidia GTX 1060 will be able to run The Lost Crown in 4K resolution, 60 FPS and the highest possible graphical settings.
The game does not require more than 8 GB of RAM and will take around 30 GB of your storage space. It's certainly refreshing to see a game that doesn't demand the latest RTX card in 2024.
As for the consoles, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will also target buttery smooth frame rates. On Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the game can run up to 120 FPS if you have a TV or monitor that supports 120Hz.
Xbox Series S won't have this high frame rate mode but will run the game at 60 FPS at 1440p. Last-gen consoles PS4 Pro and Xbox One X also target 60 FPS but in crisp 4K resolution.
All in all, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown seems well-optimised for all platforms including last-gen consoles, which is always great to see. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown officially launches on January 18, 2023 on PC and consoles.
