Prince of Persia is one of the most popular games from Ubisoft's impressive catalogue but unfortunately, since 2010's The Forgotten Sands, the publisher have not released a single Prince of Persia game. Ubisoft mentioned Prince of Persia franchise a couple of times in the last couple of years, saying that other series such as Assassin's Creed have become more popular within the development teams, suggesting that Prince of Persia has been basically replaced by Assassin's Creed.
However, the publisher have something in store for players who are craving for more Prince of Persia games. Melee action game For Honor is hosting a special, in-game event named Blades of Persia, which introduces Prince of Persia-themed events, quests and items for all players to earn.
In addition to the special mode, For Honor also receives Prince of Persia-themed changes including in-game menu makeover with new visuals and music from Prince of Persia universe.
The event also introduced a wide variety of themed customisation items. Players now have access to 30 tiers of Prince of Persia-inspired gear and weapons. Here is the breakdown of the new items:
- 26 new lootable weapons
- Ratash and Sandweaith outfits available in the store for 20.000 Steel.
- The Prince's execution is available for purchase in the store for 10.000 Steel.
Another neat addition will see the Prince turn into the Dark Prince as the sands of time pass in the event. This means that a new game mode will become available on 19 March 2020. Ubisoft will detail the new mode on the release day.
