Ubisoft have officially announced that their melee action For Honor will get Season 3 on 01 August 2019. The new season will introduce a new Viking hero named Hulda or Gretar along with a new map - The Viking fortress of Storr Stronghold.

For Honor Season 3 has been officially confirmed by the publisher Ubisoft. It's set to arrive on Thursday, 01 August 2019. Named Hulda, the third season will introduce brand new content to the melee action title.

It brings Jormungandr, a new feral Viking hero, which will be playable in both female version as Hulda and male version as Gretar. According to the official description, Jormungandr are Viking sectarians, devoted to the mythical great serpent after which they're named.

Jormungandr are armed with the mighty weapon named War Hamarr and will be available instantly to everyone who owns Year 3 Pass. All other players will be able to purchase the new warrior on 08 August 2019 for 15,000 in-game Steel. The Jormungandr is the 25th warrior to join the For Honor roster.

Ubisoft also released a new, short trailer for the new hero. In the trailer, Hulda, the female version of the hero is seen standing on a cliff with her mighty new weapon.

In addition to the new Viking hero, For Honor Season 3 will also introduce a brand new battlefield into the fold. The Viking fortress of Storr Stronghold will be available in the Breach mode map rotation and more importantly, it comes free for all players.

Ubisoft also mentioned that they will introduce balancing changes to three heroes - Nobushi, Shinobi and Orochi. It's expected that these receive noticeable buffs to make them more competitive.

In other For Honor news, Epic Games revealed earlier his week that the game will be available for free on their Epic Games Store. The offer will start on 02 August 2019, just one day after the introduction of the third season. The promotion will run until 09 August 2019 so if you're yet to try the game, you won't find it any cheaper elsewhere.
