Forza Horizon 5 is getting its second expansion in 2023, PlayGround games have confirmed. The official reveal should be coming early next year.
In the most recent episode of Forza Monthly live stream, where Playground and Turn 10 Studios talk about the upcoming content for their Forza games, the teams confirmed that they are currently hard at work on the second expansion for Forza Horizon 5.
"We're hard at work on the second expansion of Forza Horizon 5. You can expect to see it in early 2023. We'll have more to share after we enter the new year," they said.
At the moment, there are no details about this upcoming expansion. We don't even have any rumours or leaks that would give us at least a hint about where the next expansion will take us.
The first Forza Horizon 5 expansion was themed around Hot Wheels and was received very well by the fans and critics. It's certainly a very big expansion, probably one of the biggest ever for the franchise so that pretty much tells you what to expect.
If we had to guess, we would say that something like Fortune Island is probably on the menu with a brand new island and new types of tracks and races. That would certainly be a welcomed change given that the Mexico map doesn't feature the major seasonal changes like the UK map in Forza Horizon 4, which means it looks pretty much the same all the time.
All in all, plenty of good news for Forza Horizon franchise fans, who will certainly eagerly await to hear more about this expansion and naturally, see some gameplay. Until then, Mexico is waiting.
