People of Playground Games must be doing cartwheels around their offices right about now. The reason for the celebration is Forza Horizon 5 and the 10 million players the racing game attracted during its first week.
Forza Horizon 5's official Twitter account shared the impressive stat earlier today, saying: "Thank you to the more than 10M Forza Horizon 5 fans for the biggest first week in Xbox history and Xbox Game Pass EVER. GG!" along with a celebratory image:
Forza Horizon 5 currently boasts a range of user reviews on Metacritic: from mixed or average on PC and Xbox One to generally favourable reviews on Xbox Series X|S. PC and Xbox SeriesX|S versions, however, flaunt the "universal acclaim" stamp of approval from critics' reviews and we're waiting for one more review for the Xbox One version.
According to Video Games Stats, God of War sold 3.1 million copies in its first three days. That number grew to 5 million in the first month and now 19.5 million people own the game. God Of War was released for PlayStation 4 and is on its way to PC in 2022.
Video Games Stats' numbers for Forza Horizon 4 have been last updated in 2019 but reflect the following: 2 million in the first week and 12 million players overall (as per the latest update from 2019).
