Frontier Developments, the team behind Planet Coaster, Jurrasic World Evolution and iconic RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 have officially announced Planet Zoo, a new building simulation which comes exclusively to PC sometime in Autumn 2019.
Planet Zoo, a zoo building simulation is Frontier Development's new game it's been officially announced by the studio. According to the press release, the game will feature authentic living animals, "rich management" options and "limitless creativity" to allow players to build and manage their own, modern zoo.
Players will be able to study and manage species, and every animal in Planet Zoo will react differently to the world you build around them. The devs promise the most authentic representation of animals in videogame history. Each animal will care about their surroundings and each other, with "complex environmental and social needs".
In Planet Zoo, you'll get to develop the zoo by researching technologies and even release the animals back into the wild to repopulate the planet once they are fit to survive on their own. You'll get numerous building options to chose from, including lakes, habitats, tunnels and caves among other things.
Visitors and animals will react to each change and creation you build so plan your moves accordingly if you don't want to get one-star ratings from unhappy customers.
Also, once you build your zoo, the design can be shared with your friends and other players in Planet Zoo’s online community.
Planet Zoo is arriving exclusively to PC platform sometime in Autumn 2019. Chief Creative Officer of Frontier, Jonny Watts said that this is the game they wanted to make for many years. The goal is to create one ultimate building simulation with everything they've learned while working on previous games.
"We’re taking everything we’ve learned from our past work and focusing on modern values – incredible authenticity, rich management, limitless creativity and community sharing – to make our best-ever simulation game," Watts said.
