Developer Frontier have today shared the first Jurassic World Evolution 2 developer diary where they talked about a wide variety of features including game modes, new dinosaurs and their behavior and more.
Frontier Developments, the team behind the upcoming dinosaur management game Jurassic World Evolution 2 have shared their first developer diary video, revealing a ton of new information about this anticipated title.
In the first installment, Jurassic World Evolution 2 Game Director Rich Newbold, Executive Producer Adam Woods, and Lead Designer Jim Stimpson share a deeper look at the game's new locations, which include mountain areas with a lot of pinewood as well as snowy regions with blizzards. The setting is certainly different from the tropical island found in the original game.
The team also spent some time talking about the stars of the show - dinosaurs - and what exactly makes these creatures the most realistic yet in the series.
Dinosaurs will fight for their territory in the sequel thanks to a new territory system that can basically set two species in the same territory.
Some dinos won't mind this and will be happy to have some company but other, aggressive types, will fight for every inch of their grass fields.
On top of this, we also got to see some brand new dinosaur species making their first appearance in the strategy franchise. These include flying and marine reptiles.
In the video above, you can check out the devs talking about these and many other details.
Frontier say they will share more details about Jurassic World Evolution 2 in the coming weeks and months.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is officially hitting the shelves in late 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
