PAYDAY 3 is now available for PC via PC Game Pass, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X and S Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and GeForce NOW.
With the notion of a heist on their minds, PAYDAY 3 publishers PLAION devised a cross-city challenge in London, where the public could track down a secret location and grab a "month's average salary" in PAYDAY 3-themed dollar bills from a specially branded van.
In under 10 minutes, over 2,000 notes were snatched from the vehicle, and those fortunate enough to secure a limited 'winner' variant were entered into a draw for a prize haul.
A spokesperson for PLAION, who commissioned the survey via OnePoll, commented: "It can be tricky not to spend your hard-earned cash all at once, especially when most expenditures are unavoidable. We can certainly understand the temptation of wanting to rob a bank to get that much-needed cash injection.
However, disposable income won't be of much use behind bars, so we suggest that the heisting fantasy is best left to video games."
The survey also found that the southeast of the UK experiences the highest early spending after payday, with an average of £722 being spent within the first 72 hours.
In contrast, the southwest sees the lowest early spending, totaling just £544.
As for those who would contemplate robbing a bank, they've assembled an impressive fantasy heist crew. Their dream team includes Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as the muscle, Lewis Hamilton as the getaway driver, and Derren Brown to hypnotize the guards, ensuring no harm comes to anyone involved.
