After months of financial problems and looking for a publisher, Starbreeze announced today that the development of the third instalment in the PAYDAY series is back on track.
Starbreeze and Koch Media have teamed up to get PAYDAY 3 in front of as many gamer eyeballs as possible by 2023.
Starbreeze will continue as the sole owner of the PAYDAY IP and be responsible for the continued development of PAYDAY 3. Tobias Sjögren, Acting CEO of Starbreeze had this to say about their partnership with Koch Media:

In addition to securing the continued development, this deal secures global publishing of PAYDAY 3 as well as the marketing efforts through the entire game life cycle. We now have a strong foundation for a successful launch of PAYDAY 3"
Koch Media will look to its 20 years of experience and be responsible for publishing and marketing activities for PAYDAY 3 around the world:

The fans will get to experience everything PAYDAY 3 has to offer when the game launches on PC and consoles in 2023. PAYDAY 3 is already conceptualised with the "Games as a service" model in mind, so we can expect a bunch of additional content and functionalities after its official launch date.
