Owlcat Games kicked off the closed beta for Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous and followed with a trailer that showcases some combat gameplay.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous got the first beta and it is exclusive to the backers. They will be able to play through the first four chapters of the game which is apparently quite chunky.
The announcement stats this is over 50 hours of content but also warns this is "beta quality content" which obviously means it's still in the testing phase and bugs are to be expected.
However, we are probably not in the Cyberpunk 2077 level of bugs here since the devs are actually letting players show their footage and even stream it via Twitch or YouTube. It is only the fourth chapter that is not cleared for broadcasting.
Furthermore, there will be an interactive community quest, Choose Your Own Story, where the events will be determined by the community on a Twitch live stream on Friday, February 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM CET / 5:00 AM PT.
The beta test will offer two combat modes to try out - realtime with pause or turn-based combat. On top of that, players will get to play through the Mythic system and choose one of the six Mythic Paths which include Angel, Azata, Lich, Demon, Aeon and Trickster.
When the full game is released, we will be able to choose between a total of nine paths.
