Owlcat Games posted a teaser on what their fans can expect to see next, which is a game in a setting different from that of Pathfinder.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker was pretty successful and Owlcat's follow-up entry in the series, Wrath of the Righteous , just blew everyone away . Following the high success of the second game, the fans started getting antsy to know what is next in store for the developers.
They revealed their future plans through a teaser on the official Twitter account , without saying too much. As it turns out, Owlcat are working on something with more sophisticated weaponry than swords and bows.
The teaser in question sends us to a teaser site with space in the background, which was enough for fans to figure out what's going on - Owlcat Games are working on a Starfinder title.
As many immediately pointed out, getting a CRPG in a futuristic setting is pretty tough. Still, given the scope of both Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous, it's fair to say that ambitious projects are something Owlcat can definitely deliver on.
For those not in the know, where Pathfinder is a classic fantasy setting for Paizo pen and paper games Starfinder is a futuristic ones, which means Owlcat and Paizo are continuing their collaboration in the future. After all, there is no reason to, given the attention the two video games brought to the DnD breakaway.
